Every lamp here is finished by the person living with it. A leather strap, a turn of the ring, the height of a glass on the wall, the angle of a pipe — the control is never a switch beside the door. It is something you do with your hand, and the lamp settles differently in every room it goes into.
Designed, prototyped and built by hand in Reykjavík. Every piece is made to order from parts held in the workshop. Some are made to a fixed specification and can be bought directly; others are drawn for the room they go into — different lengths, sizes and finishes.
MADE TO ORDER
Made to a fixed specification and ready to order. Each piece is assembled in the workshop when you order it, usually within 4–8 weeks.
HALO hangs on the wall from a leather strap. The light source sits in a ring of solid timber, and the strap that carries the ring is also what controls it — there is no dimmer on the cord and no switch on the wall. Draw the strap down on the right and the ring turns and the light rises; draw it down on the left and the light falls away, down to nothing and off. Setting the light becomes something you do with your hand rather than something you click.

BALANCE is a suspension lamp that never looks quite the same twice. How it hangs, how the arms settle, how it fills the room — all of that is decided when it is installed. The lamp is set up to find its own equilibrium, and you choose where that point sits.
Available in 3, 5, 7 and 9-light versions. Brushed brass or black. Installed at the Embassy of Iceland in Oslo, the Ambassador's Residence in New Delhi, the Permanent Mission of Iceland in Rome, and at Business Iceland.
HALO MIRROR is the same idea turned into a mirror: a lit ring on the wall with the control hidden inside it. Turn the mirror clockwise to bring the light up, counter-clockwise to dim it down and switch it off. Nothing to press, nothing on the wall beside it.
Handmade in ash, walnut or oak. Available at 660 mm (26”) and 864 mm (34”).
PUCK on the wall is a single disc on a slim tube, turned out from the wall to put the light where you want it and nowhere else. One in a hallway reads as a quiet detail; a row of them down a long wall becomes the lighting for the whole room.
The dimmer is integrated into the lamp itself — touch the end of the tube to switch it on, hold to set the level. Nothing clicks and nothing moves. There is no control to see, only a surface that answers your hand.

PUCK floor lamp
The same head and the same tube, standing on the floor instead. It reads as a reading lamp beside a chair without announcing itself as one — the disc turns the light down onto the page and leaves the rest of the room dark.
The dimmer is integrated into the lamp itself — touch the end of the tube to switch it on, hold to set the level. There is no control to see, only a surface that answers your hand.

FORESTER
FORESTER began with a stand of trees. Slim pipes rise from a single base, each one joined by a ball bearing, so every pipe turns and tilts on its own. Point them where the light is needed and move them again when it isn't — over a table one evening, up at the ceiling the next.
No two installations settle the same way, which is the point: the lamp is finished by whoever lives with it. Copper pipes on an oak base, in brushed brass, copper or black.
Available in 3, 5, 7 and 9-light versions, with pipe lengths made to the room.
SUNRISE / SUNSET
SUNRISE / SUNSET works the way its name does. The glass rides up and down the wall, and its height is the light: raise it and the light grows, lower it and it dims away until it goes out. There is no switch and no dial — one movement covers the whole range, from full light to nothing.

REFRACTION
REFRACTION began with three jars — one empty, one of water, one of gel — and a light shone through each of them. Water gave the pattern worth keeping.
The lamp reproduces it in steel. A plate is polished to a mirror finish and folded, and the light thrown back off it breaks across the wall the way light breaks through water. The source stays fixed; the plate turns a full circle in front of it. Set it one way and the pattern fans wide, turn it and it closes in. What lands on the wall is yours to decide, and it shifts again as you walk past.

MADE TO ORDER
Each piece is made to order in our Reykjavík workshop and generally takes 4–8 weeks. If you need something sooner, write to us — we can sometimes work to a shorter lead time. HALO is made from solid natural wood, so the grain is different in every one. UL listing available on request.
